I would start by getting a culinary arts degree. If you go ahead and get a B.A. degree you can get teacher certified in your state. Teacher Certification laws are different per state. (if you live in Fl, you can get certified in 9 months online) Use that degree, certification and experience to get that job.

Paul Smith's College in NY is a good school.

Write cookbooks. Start a catering company. Open a restaurant of your own. Teach adult education classes. Try to get your own show on Food network. Sell your creations in a store that caters to busy career people as take out. Contribute articles to food magazines.

Look towards finding a job at a restaurant or catering group. Not as much like a Chili's, but at a local fine dining establishment. Signing up to a local temp agency can help find a position as well.

You're only turning 18, so you still have a lot of work to do before you make the big bucks.

I can't tell you which culinary arts colleges are good, but I can tell you it's a good career. If you like cooking, it will be a rewarding career.

You didn't say what state you're in which would have helped.
So… to find more info you'll have to do your own google search for culinary arts colleges and find the rest that I didn't know which ones to give you.
